A little about Todd…
Todd Weekley is a voice actor with experience in e-learning apps, industrial and medical explainer videos, audio dramas, and animation. He first found a love of the performing arts in stage theatre, performing in musicals, dramas, and comedies. At the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, he honed his improvisation skills as a street character and bass singer in the madrigal group The Warblers. He later trained with ImprovBoston.
Todd first stepped into the world of voice acting at a workshop with Rick Zieff. Rick became his friend and coach for animation and commercial voiceover. He also studied accents and dialects with Eliza Jane Schneider and animation and character development with Charlie Adler. Brian McKeever taught him the basics of sound editing.
Some of Todd’s voiceover credits include K-12 e-learning modules for Curriculum Associates and HMH; industrial explainer videos for LegalShield and Metrofax; medical explainer videos for Sanofi and a museum installation for Massachusetts General Hospital; and the Mind’s Eye Podcast audio dramas Leah’s Gals (Wally) and The End of the World (Hank) and All Ports Open’s Weeping Cedars (Father Tom). He created character voices for a LEGO animated series, Paul Makes Everything Worse (Sensei and Kyle), and the independent horror anthology Tales of the Inexplicable (Benjamin Clownface). Todd has also appeared on screen as Dr. Malcolm in Quirewood: The Musical, Patrick in Apocalypse Party, and self-help guru Leonardo Villanova in Four Killers and a Liar, as well as background and stand-in work in several Hollywood productions. Between gigs, Todd also produces animated poem narrations on YouTube to make poetry more accessible to students and the general public.
Currently based in Boston, MA, Todd lived in Japan for a year, studying the language and culture. While there, he joined a taiko (Japanese drumming) group and performed at the Akita Prefecture Taiko Festival and the All-Japan Taiko Festival, as well as numerous local events. He also enjoys carpentry and is currently making his own hnefatafl (a Viking board game) set using mainly hand tools.
